EMPOWERMENT ACADEMY, INC.
Locally and statewide, EA is a social service advocate. EA's mission is to improve the lives of others through systemic level changes that revitalize communities. EA is committed to improving economic stability, education outcomes, health and wellness, job readiness, and family structures in underserved populations, including minority, marginalized, and impoverished communities. Our services are designed to enrich society, create sustainable solutions, and empower those who traditionally feel forgotten, overlooked, and unseen. We accomplish our mission through initiatives that support equity in education and employment, veteran transition assistance, solutions for blight and the unhoused, mental health, and inclusion. We exercise our pledge to empower families and strengthen communities by providing educational assistance, career counseling, credit building and repair, and financial literacy education. In addition, EA assists with obtaining affordable housing through access to first-time home buyer programs and reducing housing burdens caused by functional or physical obsolescence.
ENRICH
Our Outreach team is currently working on providing Wind Mitigation to low-income, disabled, and senior homeowners in Duval County. We want to expand the families we help beyond what the FEMA grant funds will allow.
EMPOWER
We welcome volunteers at all times. The need is constant and great.
EDUCATE
There is no greater joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life.
– Mary Rose McGeady
